Keyla de Magalhaes

Audiologist and Hearing Care Director

Keyla graduated from the Catholic University of Petropolis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2002 with a degree in Audiology and Speech & Language Pathology.

She began her career at Imperial College NHS Trust in London before going on to work for several of the UK’s leading high-street audiology providers. Over the years, she has developed extensive clinical experience in both the NHS and private sector.

With more than 20 years of professional experience, including 4 years working across the Suffolk, Essex, and Cambridgeshire region, Keyla offers a highly personalised and evidence-based service tailored to each patient’s needs.
Keyla is known for her warm, patient-focused approach and takes the time to ensure every patient feels heard, supported, and confident in their hearing care journey.

Luiz de Magalhaes

Audiologist and Hearing Care Director

Luiz is dedicated to delivering exceptional hearing solutions and patient-centred care across Haverhill, Saffron Walden, Halstead, Sudbury, and the surrounding areas.

A graduate of Hearing Aid Audiology at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, Luiz combines clinical expertise with a strong sciences background. Before co-founding The Audiology Expert in 2021, he worked as a Product Development Engineer at SGA Technologies, specialising in mechanical product design and innovation.

Holding a First-Class Master of Engineering (MEng) from Queen Mary University of London, Luiz brings together scientific and problem-solving skills; and the empathy of audiology to offer clients the highest standard of hearing care — from hearing assessments and tinnitus management to bespoke hearing aid fittings and aftercare.
